Nancy Hoffman Gallery - New York - USA
.
Nancy Hoffman Gallery opened in SoHo in 1972, among the first contemporary galleries downtown to show paintings, sculpture, drawings, photographs, video, and installations. In October 2008 after more than 35 years in SoHo the gallery moved to its new home at 520 West 27th Street in Chelsea--a light-filled space with majestically high ceilings and a sculpture garden.
Eight years ago Nancy Hoffman Gallery commenced an active and on-going Projects Space gallery to showcase younger artists. The Projects program continues to grow and develop to introduce new artists to the gallery group and audience. Each artist’s single-minded, obsessive, commitment to a personal vision and the process by which that vision is realized links younger to more mature artists.
Nancy Hoffman Gallery maintains commitment, consistency and loyalty to its artists over the years. Some of the artists have shown with the gallery since1972, others have joined the gallery in recent years. The artists come from Australia, China, France, England and the United States and have had exhibitions in this country, Europe, Australia, Asia, as well as the first virtual “art exhibition” in space on astronaut’s computer screens.

Hirschl & Adler - New York - USA
.
Hirschl & Adler Galleries was founded in 1952 by Norman S. Hirschl and Abraham M. Adler. In 1967 Stuart P. Feld joined the firm as a partner, and since 1982 has served as its President. Originally housed in the Marguery Hotel on Park Avenue, the gallery moved to a townhouse on East 67th Street in 1958, and in 1977 relocated to a handsome landmark townhouse at 21 East 70th Street. In February 2011, Hirschl & Adler moved to expanded quarters in The Crown Building at the world-reknowned crossroads of Fifth Avenue and 57th Street, where the gallery continues to specialize in American and European paintings, watercolors, drawings, and sculpture from the eighteenth through the early twentieth centuries; American prints of all periods; and American decorative arts from 1810 to 1910. Its contemporary arm, Hirschl & Adler Modern, has developed a select group of established and emerging realist artists and also features American and European art from the Post-War period.
Each year, the gallery assembles about a dozen special exhibitions exploring historical and contemporary themes, or examining the work of individual artists, past and present. Most of these exhibitions are accompanied by scholarly catalogues and other publications. The gallery provides a wide range of services to its client base of private collectors, museums, architects, interior designers, art consultants, and other dealers.

Hill-Stone - New York - USA
.
Hill-Stone are private dealers in prints and drawings from the 15th century to the early years of the 20th century. Founded more than thirty years ago by Alan N. Stone in Northampton, Massachusetts, the firm moved to New York in 1980. Lesley Hill is, as the name of the firm suggests, the other principal.
As private dealers, Mr. Stone and Ms. Hill have pursued interests somewhat apart from the traditional canons of taste. While they have always maintained a strong interest in German prints of the Renaissance and Dutch prints and drawings of the 17th century, it is the art of the 16th century in Italy, France and the Netherlands that they have chosen to explore more fully.
Their other great interest is the art of the later 18th and early 19th centuries with a specific concentration on Romanticism and Neoclassicism in all its national manifestations. Their passion for the curious and the arcane is, if it be a fault, one to which they will readily admit.
The firm is located on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, on Park Avenue, only a few blocks from the Metropolitan Museum of Art. They see clients by appointment. Institutional clients include The Metropolitan Museum of Art, the British Museum, the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam, Musée du Louvre, Yale University Art Gallery, Smith College Museum, Saint Louis Art Museum, Cleveland Museum of Art, National Gallery of Art, Washington, National Gallery of Canada, Davis Museum at Wellesley College, Fogg Art Museum, Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, Art Institute of Chicago and The Getty Museum, among others.

Heller Gallery - New York - USA
.
Since 1973 Heller Gallery has been recognized for playing a seminal role in promoting contemporary sculpture that employs glass as its touch stone medium. For nearly four decades Heller has exhibited the premier international artists working in glass and has been a valuable resource for artists, museums, collectors, public institutions and studios worldwide. Numerous artworks have entered prestigious public collections as a direct result of the Gallery’s exhibitions and advocacy. New York's Museum of Modern Art and Metropolitan Museum of Art have acquired works from the gallery for their collections as have The Corning Museum of Glass, The Los Angeles County Museum of Art and numerous museums abroad, including Victoria & Albert Museum, Musee des Arts Decoratifs de Louvre, and Hokkaido Museum, among others.
The artists who exhibit at Heller work in a broad range of styles and techniques and explore subject matter equally diverse. Some take on the material itself, testing its limits in monumental sculptures or exploring its fundamental qualities in works that play with the interactions of color, light, transparency and form. Others are more interested in delving into emotion and myth or commenting on art history and do so in more expressive styles, casting figurative sculptures, painting on glass or composing elaborate assemblages of objects and images.
Heller Gallery is an almost 7000 sq. ft. bi-level space located at 420 W.14th Street just down the street from the acclaimed new High Line Park. It is easily accessible by car, subway or bus: The West Side Hwy is two blocks away; there are several parking lots nearby and free parking on the street after 4pm. Richard Gray Gallery - New York - USA
.
Founded in Chicago in 1963 and now located both in Chicago and New York, Richard Gray Gallery is one of the leading dealers in modern and contemporary American and European art, with museum as well as private clients worldwide. Offering artworks of exceedingly high quality as well as expert counsel in all areas of the field is almost an obsession. The gallery has a reputation for excellence, integrity and discretion that it continues to earn by providing a high level of service to understandably demanding clients. Collecting art remains a field where the myriad players share a deep appreciation for the profound role that art plays in our culture. This is paramount. The business of art, while founded upon the same principle, is more and more coming to resemble a truly 'big' business with the breathtaking values placed on fine art. While most galleries focus primarily upon artist representation and promotion, Richard Gray Gallery is collector oriented. This means the gallery will assess quality and authenticity, evaluate, exhibit, care for, buy and sell art principally for the benefit of the collector. We believe this is a highly meaningful distinction. Member of the Art Dealer's Association of America and Confédéracion International des Négociants en Oeuvres d'Art. Richard Gray Gallery also exhibits at Art: Basel, Art: Basel/Miami, TEFAF Maastricht and The Art Show/New York.

Muriel Guepin Gallery - New York - USA
.
The Muriel Guépin Gallery aims to make art more accessible, while allowing artists to increase their visibility and reach within their own community. The gallery exhibits works of exceptional quality by both emerging and more established artists, with a strong focus on artists who are Brooklyn based. It was founded in December 2008 as Shop Art, and in January 2010, it reopened into a new, larger space, and was renamed the Muriel Guépin Gallery.
With the reopening into the bigger, new space, the gallery aims to exhibit larger pieces of art, as well as installations and sculptures. Also, the bigger space now allows for an ambitious new art program for both children and adults.
The atmosphere at the Muriel Guépin Gallery is engaging, casual, and well organized; customers feel welcome and can easily identify artists they like. The gallery is separated into three different sections. The back of the gallery is dedicated to the art classes for both children and adults, encouraging creativity and engaging the community to be involved with art. Group and/or solo shows are displayed in the middle section of the gallery, and the front part showcases smaller, attractively priced artwork of artists represented by the gallery.
The Muriel Guépin Gallery believes that:
- Art should not be exclusively reserved for the elite initiate.
- Artists should be able to access an art market that is often unreachable.
- Amateurs are looking for easy and suitable access to contemporary art.
- It is important to be an outlet for developing creativity and viewing art of exceptional quality.
As a Brooklyn based gallery, the Muriel Guépin Gallery seeks to support and promote the vibrant artist community that it is a part of. The gallery exhibits both imaged-based and abstract work in different mediums, with an emphasis on painting, photography, works on paper, drawings, and sculptures. It offers about eight group/solo shows per year. Prices begin from under $100 and range up to $10,000. Thanks to its large offering of artwork and affordable prices, the Muriel Guépin Gallery attracts young collectors- those who are just beginning to make their first art purchases, as well as more mature art buyers who respect its “eye” for talent and quality.
Muriel Guépin, the owner of the gallery, has been collecting art for the past 18 years. She has an extensive collection of Brooklyn based and international artists, some of which are now part of museum permanent collections or have moved to well established galleries. Previously working in finance for the past 20 years, she decided to share her appreciation for the arts and help people in her community discover some of the artists she has been collecting over the years.

With a keen eye focused on "street art" and the New York emerging art scene the Dorian Grey Gallery continues to be the premier exhibition space and “voice” for the numerous local undiscovered and rising artistic talents. Most exhibitions feature art where street and graffiti themed works are displayed alongside other pieces that represent a diverse selection of exemplary art offered in an intimate and informative environment. Recently, the Dorian Grey Gallery received some real street art credibility in the form of an unexpected visit by the artist Kenny Scharf, who spontaneously painted a mural on the gallery’s roll down gate. Scharf whose prolific work graced many walls in the city during the graffiti heyday of the 1980s, once lived across the street from the gallery’s current location. Dorian Grey Gallery is a joint venture between veteran art dealers Christopher Pusey & Luis Accorsi.

Hammer Galleries - New York - USA
.
Hammer Galleries today continues its tradition of building treasured collections for individuals, corporations and museums worldwide. This tradition dates back to its founding in 1928 by industrialist and philanthropist Dr. Armand Hammer.
In the early 1930s, the gallery rose quickly to prominence when it was the first in the west to exhibit the world famous Russian Imperial Easter Eggs by celebrated court jeweler Karl Fabergé. After beginning with a skillful focus on Russian icons, brocades, Imperial porcelains and rare art objects, the Gallery found itself sought after for endeavors such as representing the historic and vast art collection of William Randolph Hearst, the largest of its time, and works from the famed collection of J.P. Morgan. The Gallery was also noted for staging an extraordinary exhibition of Mexican art entitled “12,000 Years of Mexican Art from Pre-Columbian to the Twentieth Century.”
In the 1960’s, the focus of Hammer Galleries shifted to 19th and 20th Century European and American Masters and this remains its primary focus today. In 1980, the gallery nestled into its new home, a restored, turn of the century townhouse at 33 West 57th Street, opening with an exhibition of the revered American Folk Artist Grandma Moses. Numerous exhibitions of Academic, Impressionist, Post-Impressionist, and Modern European and American Masters followed. Included in these exhibitions, have been extraordinary works by European artists such as Bouguereau, Corot, Monet, Renoir, Picasso, and Chagall as well as American artists such as Chase, Wyeth, Cassatt, Hassam, and Sargent.
Our tradition of excellence has continued with several extraordinary exhibitions. Of particular note was the special collection of unique ceramics by Pablo Picasso that Hammer Galleries premiered in 1996, and continues to display today. Created in Vallauris between 1948 and 1968, this group of over 40 unique ceramics was acquired directly from the estate of Jacqueline Picasso, the artist’s second wife. In 2004, this collection returned to Vallauris on loan by Hammer to an important exhibition at Le Musée Magnelli. Also in 2004 the gallery exhibited an exemplary collection of 20th Century masters (Chagall, Matisse, Miro and Picasso) as well as a special exhibition of paintings by the American Regionalist, Thomas Hart Benton.
Hammer has availed itself of technological developments in the mid 1990’s becoming one of the first galleries to make its collection available on the internet through its website, www.hammergalleries.com. Hammer also provides expertise in authentication, appraisals and restoration in addition to undertaking installations and framing. Each year we view thousands of works of art, collaborating with scholars, experts and conservators, so that we may choose a select group of high quality works to offer our clientele.
For over 80 years, Hammer Galleries has presented its patron’s extensive choices and exceptional opportunities for collecting works from among the world’s finest artists. Hammer Galleries continues to proudly serve the individuals, corporations and museums that have placed their trust in our abilities and experience.

Haim Chanin Fine Arts - New York - USA
.
In 2001, Dominique Haim Chanin opened her first gallery space in Chelsea, Haim Chanin Fine Arts. There, she introduced artists firmly established in European and Latin American markets, such as Jorge Oteiza, Augustin Cardenas, Heribert C. Ottersbach and Graciela Sacco. Following the same idea, Haim Chanin Fine Arts organized exhibitions of important, though less known, bodies of work by renowed artists, such as Matta, Robert Morris and Pierre Soulages.
Dominique Haim Chanin recently moved her gallery to a new spacious loft conceived by French architect Marie-France de Saint Felix. Far from the regular white box, the new gallery, with natural light and stunning views of South Manhattan offers a more intimate and personal approach to art and a place for dialogue, exchange and experiment for the collectors, artists and art lovers alike.

Grassi Studio - New York - USA
.
For over a century, Grassi has been a familiar, respected name, both in Europe and America, in the world of dealing and collecting Old Master paintings and works of art.
By 1900, Prof. Luigi Grassi was already heading his own well-established gallery in Florence, Italy, having earlier collaborated with his uncle Costantini, a dealer active there since the 1860s. As a young man, however, Luigi had been trained at the Rome Academy and actually began his career as a paintings restorer at the Uffizi.
In 1914, Prof.Grassi moved his home and gallery to the spacious and imposing Montagliari palace, continuing his successful enterprise in a variety of collecting fields: paintings, furniture, sculpture and works of art. “Luigi Grassi and Sons” became a requisite stop for any connoisseur traveling to Florence during the 1920s and 30s: Otto Lanz, Lord Lee, Robert Hirsch, Herbert Lehman… are just a few of the distinguished collectors who regularly visited Via Cavour 106 in Florence in those years.
After Luigi’s death in 1937, the gallery remained active until the early 1950s, managed by Prof. Grassi’s two sons, Giulio and Arturo. By that time, however, such an undertaking: its conspicuous size, varied stock, and, above all, its location in Florence, had become increasingly less viable. The gallery and its remaining collections were sold; Giulio retired. Arturo, however, continued as a private dealer of Old Master paintings in New York. His particular interest was Italian - and specifically Venetian Eighteenth Century painting. Several museums, particularly Detroit, effected important acquisitions through Arturo Grassi.
Arturo’s two sons, Luigi and Marco, both returned to Europe after their education in America. Luigi has remained in Florence as a private paintings dealer. Marco trained as a fine arts conservator, first, like his grandfather, at the Uffizi, and subsequently in Rome and Zurich. After initiating a private practice in Florence in the early 1960s, Marco served as visiting and consulting conservator to a number of important private collectors, among them H.H. Thyssen-Bornemisza in Lugano, and Norton Simon, in Pasadena. Since 1974, he has been active mostly in New York. In 1986, he moved his conservation practice to a spacious, well-equipped new studio in Soho. Here he has served a small, but discriminating clientele of collectors and dealers, occasionally acting as an agent in the sale or purchase of paintings.
About fifteen years ago Marco’s son, Matteo, decided to undertake a career as a dealer of European Old Master paintings. This development represented a natural opportunity for the initiation of a close and fruitful family collaboration. Apprenticed with the studio of Eric Turquin in Paris until 1998, Matteo decided to remain in France. The father-son partnership, now named Grassi Studio, has participated at TEFAF Maastricht since 2004, and the biennial fairs in Florence and Rome since 2007.

Stephen Haller Gallery - Nerw York - USA
.
The Stephen Haller Gallery has evolved over 30 years. We strongly believe that a gallery should have a vision and an identity. In our search for artists over many years, the gallery has brought together a group of artists from different parts of the world that have a similar vision and sensibility.
The gallery is aligned with these artists and has developed its focus around their spirit and work. This work is emotional. It is gestural and avoids the mechanical. The artists seek to drive the image to its minimal essence.
The artist is the explorer of the conscious and unconscious mind — the interpreter of dreams and visions. In their works they are the diviners of insights and perceptions. Through their gestures, colors and mark making, their abstractions reveal universal truths.
We believe in the Gallery’s constant aesthetic that it has its precursors in art history and leaves open many future possibilities. It is an important consideration of the gallery that a work of art becomes more meaningful as time passes.
