The gallery has its focus exclusively on Contemporary Art. Within the visual arts the gallery specializes in: paintings, sculptures, assemblages and installations.
Apart from promoting contemporary art and marketing corresponding art works the gallery puts another main emphasis on the development and realization of expressive and multifaceted exhibitions in its own premises. Not least for this reason it was always important for us to accompany the artists in their creative process as an essential element to gain a profound understanding of their artistic production.
In order that the artworks come into the world all these activities have to be embedded in communication networks consisting of collectors, curators, art critics, other galleries, museums, etc.
On August 1, 2003 we opened Galería H&H in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico, as a strategic point to reach the communities of art enthusiasts on both sides of the border between Mexico and the USA. In December 2003 we had our first curated collective show "The Mexican Californias". By the end of 2007 we had a total of 16 curated shows, which were accompanied by catalogue-brochures and Power Point presentations published in the Internet and on CD.
With John Dillemuth's solo show "Behind the Wheels" Galería H&H closed its exhibition cycle in Tijuana, Mexico.
The reopening of the gallery as KunstRaum H&H took place on January 22, 2009 in Cologne, Germany with two solo shows "Politisch Unkorrekt * Politically Incorrect" presenting art works by the young Mexican artists Daniel Ruanova and Ricardo Sanders.
Although the gallery during their representation in Mexico mainly worked with artists from that region, a regional or national restriction on Mexican contemporay art was at no point our intention. John Dillemuth's (San Diego, USA) installations and also his paintings remain part of the gallery's program, which will have sufficient space for works by artists from other parts of the globe. With Betti Scholz (Berlin) and Hagen Rehborn (Köln) the gallery has already made a good start in the European region.

The Koelnischer Kunstverein (Art Association of Cologne) was founded in 1839. As one of the oldest art associations in Germany and with 2000 members it is one of the most renowned institutions dealing with contemporary art, and its activities are highly regarded not only in Cologne and the surrounding region, but also internationally. The main focus of the Koelnischer Kunstverein is to present and support contemporary art as well as to enable exhibitions that are determined by artistic demands and which intensify the confrontation with international art of today.
The Koelnischer Kunstverein building in Cäcilienstrasse was demolished in fall 2002. The Kunstverein has found new quarters in the "Brücke" ("The Bridge" - former British Council). The architecture of the "Brücke", its location in the center of Cologne, and most of all the context of the building in the history of ideas offer interesting conditions for the presentation, communication and discussion of contemporary art. The "Brücke" was built in 1949/50 by the architect Wilhelm Riphahn, who was charged with establishing a symbolic place of dialogue in the city destroyed by the war. This goal meant taking art and culture as a medium for mutual understanding and reconciliation among people and nations marked by war. With the former library of the British Council and a cinema and theater hall, the structure of the "Brücke" provides an infrastructure that forms the basis for developing new models of communication and space, contributing not only to the sensual experience of art, but also fostering theoretical discussion and reflection and helping to question the production conditions of art.

Galerie Christian Lethert was founded in August 2006 by Christian Lethert. At average intervals of five to eight weeks, the gallery presents on 120 m² interesting single and group exibitions, combined with a supporting program including lectures and controversy.
Galerie Christian Lethert is located in the center of Cologne in the famous belgian quarter, close to Friesenplatz with a direct connection to the public transport. The Artists represented in the gallery are multi-faceted concerned on working methods and the broad spectrum between artists being established on an international level and young newcomers.
Christian Lethert (born in 1981) assisted from 1997 till 2006 Galerie Klein in Bad Münstereifel (formerly in Bonn) and he coached exhibitions in the gallery and presentations on national and foreign art fairs. In the meantime, Christian Lethert completed his degree in spring 2006 in business administration and wrote his diploma thesis about business start-up in art market. Within the framework of the studies he also assisted Griffin Contemporary in Los Angeles where he guest-curated exhibitions by Joseph Beuys and Richard Tuttle. Since May 2007 Christian Lethert is on the board of directors of the german gallery alliance.
