European Design Centre (EDC) and EDC Innovationlab serve as centres of knowledge in the field of industrial product development and systems and services design with an extensive experience in research management. The group activities evolve around new areas of Digital Technologies (Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Radio Frequency Identification) and Design Research.Essential in its philosophy is the combination between the dynamism of industry with the reflectiveness of knowledge-building. The EDC aims to promote collaborative research and consultancy activities among varying market sectors, while addressing the needs and interests peculiar to each one. Gained knowledge evolve into new state of the art products and services that are implemented among the extensive commercial clients of EDC. Those include SME’s, NPO’s and larger companies within the design, construction, healthcare, media and airline industries.
