Established in 1993, the Robert Bowman Gallery deals in European Sculpture from the late 19th Century to the 1950s, and we pride ourselves on being the leading dealers in works by Auguste Rodin.
In 2008, after ten years of trading from No. 8 Duke Street, St James’s, we decided to close the gallery space, catering for our clients’ preferences for a private setting. We can be contacted at Robert Bowman Modern, at no. 34 Duke Street, St James’s, however viewing of specific works is strictly by appointment.
Robert Bowman began his career in the art world at Sotheby’s, becoming Director of European Works of Art; after 15 years he left to open his own gallery. Robert is an appointed expert of the Museums, Libraries and Archives Council (MLA), on behalf of the UK Government, Acceptance in Lieu Scheme, and he has been on the TEFAF Sculpture Vetting Committee for the past 15 years.
