In 1970 Richard Day, a partner at Sotheby's and head of the Old Master Drawings Department, set up as a private dealer at 14 Old Bond Street in the heart of London's art world. His main areas of expertise are Italian Drawings from the Fifteenth to the Seventeenth Centuries and works of the Dutch Seventeenth Century. In 1994, James Faber joined the Gallery. His particular interest is in drawings of the French Eighteenth and Nineteenth centuries.
Day and Faber are essentially private dealers offering their clients, both buyers and sellers, complete discretion.
