Galerie Patrik Fröhlich, centrally located in the old town, 5 minutes to walk from the "Kunsthaus", specializes in African and Oceanic art. All exhibitions contain important pieces with old provenances and historical objects from the time when masks and sculptures still had to only fulfil their former purposes; when artists used a different intention than today and the sculptures were powerful and perfect in form. Monothematic exhibitions alternate with presentations of the latest purchase. From time to time a juxtaposition of a selection of contemporary art and the old non-European sculpture takes place.
