Gallery A opened in May 2003. Six months later Gallery A minor was established. Since then, the gallery has acquired a solid group of young artists with an individual style.
The gallery's philosophy is that it should be a place for young artists at the start of their career to exhibit themselves. The goal is to find young and talented artists who can contribute to the Norwegian and international art scene. The gallery's area of interest is broad, from domestic to international, from figurative to abstract form of expressions.
Gallery A minor started out as a test project in December 2002. The gallery owner's thought was if you want to exhibit high quality art, you should start with someone who is already well established in the area. Bjørn Ransve was contacted and agreed to be a part of the first exhibition which was a success with a retrospective choice of paintings and lithographies.
Galleri A minor has a more experimental philosophy than Galleri A. The exhibitions are more wider in specter of artists and expressions.
