The Art gallery 7 was founded in march 2003, after Meike Knüppe worked many years as an art historian (M.A.) at the auction house „Sotheby’s“ in Cologne.

The gallery shows international contemporary art, focused on photography and painting and it’s overlapping forms and sculptures.

The artist’s unusual perspectives in photography and in painting reflect with new ways of presentation the Zeitgeist.

The gallery’s main purpose is to discover and promote young talents and master-students of well-known art professors, but also already established internationally active artists in regularly changing exhibitions in the gallery. The gallery is situated in the heart of cologne’s gallery district and is also represented at several national and international artfairs.
