Since its foundation in 1980 in Essen/Germany the gallery program focuses on intermedial art between art, language and music (Fluxus, visual poetry and new media) This leads to a preoccupation with conceptual and concret art in painting and sculpture as well as with photography. Along with confirmed and known artistic positions young generation artists are introduced. The realisation of exhibitions referring to special themes and projects – even outside of the gallery space and in international showrooms – is an important part of the program. Several “art in public spaces”-projects were also set up with artists of the gallery. Catalogues and editions to the exhibitions are brought out in own publishing.
