Frederick Holmes and Company – Gallery of Modern & Contemporary Art is a beautiful gallery located in the center of Occidental Square, the heart of historic Pioneer Square, Seattle, WA. Two floors totaling 2800 square feet of open gallery space highlight the extraordinary paintings and sculpture, inviting guests to relax and engage with the owner while learning about the artists and the work. Owned and run by 30 year art-business professional, Fred Holmes, the gallery specializes in the representation of historic late 19th /20th century original Master Prints by Degas, Renoir, Whistler, Chagall, Picasso and Miro. The Master Prints collection is complimented by a large selection of French Posters, including "Les Maitre de L'Affice", all in the finest condition available.

The gallery's national and international Contemporary artists are notable mid to late career figures; many of them in significant museum and corporate collections, working in a variety of genres and mediums from oil to collage to sculpture to digital. The gallery is honored to represent prominent and internationally collected artists such as Mark T. Smith, one of the Absolut Vodka artists and Official Artist of the 2008 Beijing Summer Games; Marybeth Rothman and Elise Wagner, each working in very different genres but two of the most highly regarded encaustic artists in the country; Carlos Torres, a Contemporary painter whose work is found in several public collections in his home of Bogota, Colombia, Mexico, and The Latin American Art Museum, Long Beach, CA; Jane Burton, from the San Francisco Bay Area and one of the country's most respected and collected ceramic figurative sculptors; and many, many others.
