For twenty-seven years Garth Clark Gallery in New York, Los Angeles and other venues has been the most respected resource internationally for modern and contemporary ceramic art, serving a worldwide audience of museums and collectors. Since 1981, it has presented over six hundred exhibitions, showcasing the most significant 20th century artists from George Ohr, Hans Coper, Ken Price and Ron Nagle to Anthony Caro, Lucio Fontana and Isamu Noguchi. The gallery has contributed substantially to the scholarship of the field through publications and the support of symposia.
Now its founders, Garth Clark and Mark Del Vecchio, are working privately from Santa Fe, New Mexico. They have created a web-based gallery specializing in the buying and selling of exceptional ceramic masterworks by twentieth century artists. This site is regularly updated with new artworks as they are released for sale.
The gallery maintains a sophisticated computer search program tracking sales and availability of ceramic art in America and Europe and works closely with a team of associates in New York, London, Milan, Rome, Berlin and elsewhere, whom they visit regularly. This allows Clark and Del Vecchio to work intimately and discretely with active and ambitious collectors, both private and institutional, customizing their service and advice according to each client's budget, needs and focus.
