BCA was established in 1986 as a primary market art gallery. It specialises mainly in European contemporary fine art with an emphasis on expressionistic painting, sculpture and photography.

During the last two decades it brought to the London scene many emerging movements from European art capitals as well as artists who worked independently. Many of BCA's artists became internationally renowned, a status they maintain until this day. Their work is in many museums and public collections in Europe, North America and elsewhere and is represented in various publications by BCA and other publishers.
