Katz Contemporary - Zürich - SUI

KATZ CONTEMPORARY concentrates primarily on contemporary art. The gallery shows on the one hand emerging artists, where their support and promotion is an essential goal, and on the other, artists who already have established on the international scene. Thus, one of the aspects of the program is to confront works by young artists with those of established names, ranging from painting, installation to photography. Besides this, the gallery intends to regularly invite prominent artists from abroad and give them the opportunity to have a solo show, most often for the first time in Switzerland

Galerie Patrik Fröhlich, centrally located in the old town, 5 minutes to walk from the "Kunsthaus", specializes in African and Oceanic art. All exhibitions contain important pieces with old provenances and historical objects from the time when masks and sculptures still had to only fulfil their former purposes; when artists used a different intention than today and the sculptures were powerful and perfect in form. Monothematic exhibitions alternate with presentations of the latest purchase. From time to time a juxtaposition of a selection of contemporary art and the old non-European sculpture takes place.

Delicious Artspace - Zürich - SUI

Delicious Artspace was founded in Berlin in 2000 and is located in Zurich since 2009. We are focused on upcoming young art and want to open up unconventional modes of presenting art for public consumption. The aim is to make artistic works comprehensible and tangible within a wider objective reality.
The projects of Delicious Artspace attempt to explore cultural practices and examine them in terms of their usefulness. The underlying approach is that art is comprehended as a process that represents not the individual output of a single person, but always arises in a context that has an effect on the art itself. We feature works from artists from 47°22' N to 64°10' N. All projects are collectively staged and are developed in close cooperation with the artists; the exhibitions, shows and projects are the result of an intensive and creative exchange regarding the theory of art.
In line with the broader understanding of art in the present day, a diverse range of forms of expression in contemporary art finds a place at Delicious Artspace. In addition to the classic forms such as painting, sculpture, photography and graphic arts, forms such as installations, video art and fashion are also represented.
