Emanuel von Baeyer - London - United Kingdom

Emanuel von Baeyer London was founded in 1998 and has since been firmly established as a leading representative of the younger generation of old master dealers. Emanuel von Baeyer deals principally in fine European drawings, prints and paintings from the fifteenth through the twentieth century. We also handle select postwar and contemporary art, showing interest in both established and emerging artists.

Emanuel von Baeyer conducts his business from his premises in St Johns Wood, London, where he is always glad to receive visitors by appointment. His clientele includes older and younger generations of private collectors, art historians and museum curators from institutions around the world. He is now widely recognized as an innovative dealer within his field and has published numerous specialist sales catalogues. His activities are regularly featured in the international press. He has provided expert opinion for private individuals and for legal purposes, and is happy to act on a client's behalf on purchases and other matters. The company is sensitive to the issue of restitution and its implications.

Emanuel von Baeyer Cabinet was launched in 2010 as an extension of Emanuel von Baeyer London’s regular activities. It serves as a platform for online exhibitions, profiling different aspects of our extensive inventory.
With each exhibition focused around a singular artist, group show or theme, the new Cabinet website stages two simultaneous online exhibitions: First Floor and Second Floor. Our aim is that these different exhibitions highlight the breadth of our interests, and further enable us to experiment with unexplored artistic materials and introduce new and overlooked artists of current significance. In keeping with these objectives, works on display range from old master to contemporary prints and drawings. It also features photographs, archive material, writings, and ephemera.

Emanuel von Baeyer regularly participates in the London Original Print Fair, Frieze Masters London, Master Drawings Week in London and New York, IFPDA Print Fair New York, Antiquarian Booksellers Associations (ABA), and at TEFAF, Maastricht. He is also a member of the International Fine Print Dealers Association (IFPDA) and the International League of Antiquarian Booksellers (ILAB), as well as an executive committee member of The Society of London Art Dealers (SLAD) and a member of the TEFAF Young Dealers Committee (YDC). England & Co - London - United Kingdom

England & Co was founded in late 1987, holding its first exhibition in April 1988. In 1999, the gallery expanded and moved within Notting Hill to a specifically designed gallery space on Westbourne Grove, London. In early 2012, the gallery relocated to Great Portland Street in central London.

Over the past two decades, England & Co has established an independent and individual identity that reflects the eclectic, historically aware, research-based curatorial approach of gallery director/curator Jane England. There is no specific stylistic or generational specialization and from the beginning, the gallery programme has alternated between contemporary art and explorations of relatively recent art history.

The gallery represents a number of emerging and established contemporary artists; advises and acts for the estates of artists and collectors; and also holds a regularly changing stock of 20th and 21st century art. From the beginning, the gallery has regularly published exhibition catalogues, and recently has begun to publish editions of prints and multiples by contemporary artists.

Solo exhibitions of contemporary artists from Britain and abroad have been augmented by themed survey exhibitions such as The Map Is Not the Territory series that place contemporary work in a specific context and mix well-known with up-and-coming artists. Gallery director Jane England is also committed to researching and curating retrospective exhibitions that reappraise artists from the British and European avant-garde of the 1930s through to the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s: these have included the abstract pioneer Paule Vézelay; the action-painter William Green; founder Situationist Ralph Rumney; the kinetic sculptor Liliane Lijn; and a significant figure in British performance art and installation, Stuart Brisley. More recent art history - in 1980s London - was explored in The Neo Naturists.

The gallery cooperates with many institutions, lending works to numerous exhibitions, including to the Guggenheim, Bilbao; the Whitechapel Gallery, London; the Wellcome Trust Gallery; the Hayward Gallery, London; the Barbican Gallery, London; PS1 MOMA, New York; the Metropolitan Museum, New York; SF MOMA, San Francisco; the Grand Palais, Paris; and the Venice Biennale. Corporate collections that have acquired works from the Gallery include Deutsche Bank; Barclays Bank, London; and Penguin Books, London. England & Co has sold numerous contemporary and 20th-century works to public collections, including Tate; the Imperial War Museum; the Victoria & Albert Museum; the Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery; the Museum of London; the National Gallery of Australia; the Smithsonian Institution, Washington; the Arts Council of Great Britain; and the British Museum.

Durlacher Fine Art - London - United Kingdom

Durlacher Fine Art is a London based art consultancy specialising in contemporary Asian art. DFA was established by Natasha Durlacher in 1998 having spent seven years prior to that working in the art world in Hong Kong. Douwes Fine Art - London - United Kingdom

The Douwes tradition started with a restoration workshop as early as the 1760's, because already in the fashionable Amsterdam of the second half of the 18th century, the Douwes forebears tried to meet the desire of those that wanted the beautiful ceilings of their imposing canal houses painted and restored.

These days, the firm still belongs to the same family, and has been passed on from father to son for many generations. The present owners of Douwes Fine Art are in effect the seventh and eights generation. However, according to the official regulartions of the St. Lucas guild, abolished shortly after in 1808, they prefer to start counting from their entry as an independently registered business on September 5th, 1805. Now in its sixth generation of art dealing and restoring since then, this prestigious art gallery is the oldest of its kind in The Netherlands and in Europe.
