Tanya Baxter Contemporary - London - United Kingdom

.
Tanya Baxter Contemporary first opened its doors in Hong Kong in 1995, where we continue to run our art consultancy office, before founding our current London gallery on the Kings Road, Chelsea, in 1998. For over fifteen years we have established a global reputation for exhibiting some of the most exciting contemporary works of art on the international stage, by both well-established blue chip artists with auction records as well as young emerging artists on the scene. We work directly with established international artists including Richard Allen, Konstantin Bessmertny, Pip Todd Warmoth, Sir Peter Blake, Zeng Chuanxing, Liu Fenghua, Sacha Jafri, Anthony Eyton, Zhao Khalin, S.H. Raza, Revati Sharma Singh, Ju Ming and Ling Jian whilst showcasing work by Yue Minjun, Marc Quinn, Andy Warhol, Banksy, Tracey Emin, Subodh Gupta, Jitish Kallat and Ai Wei Wei. Our dedication to showing great figurative art has remained strong throughout the decades.

The gallery also has an art advisory service in London, which works in collaboration with our Hong Kong office on art projects around the world and advises on building corporate and private collections of contemporary art. Our experience and expertise in the International art market combined with our stable of much sought after and successful artists make us a very safe and dependable place to seek advice and enter the exciting world of contemporary art. We have built a number of collections with banks and institutions such as Standard Chartered, ABN Amro and Barclay’s, five star hotels such as Mandarin Oriental Group, and many private collectors of blue-chip works.

The Financial Times recently asserted that ‘2012 was notable for the continuing strength of the market for post-war and contemporary art, with a bias towards the “blue-chip” end. Impressionist and modern art, once the bedrock of the market, is being edged out by contemporary.’ Sales of post-war and contemporary art accounted for 33% of the market in 2012, with sales of just over $3bn, up from 28% in 2011.

We have significant expertise and experience in the Chinese and Indian art markets, while also working with post-war and contemporary artists internationally. The gallery has an international client list and an excellent relationship with galleries globally, as well as participating in art fairs in Hong Kong, India, Monaco, Dubai and London.
