Thomas Segal Gallery - Baltimore, MD - U.S.A

.
The Thomas Segal Gallery has helped build important art collections for over thirty years. Works by some of the most significant artists of the 20th-century now reside in private collections and at major institutions as a result of the knowledge and experience offered by Thomas Segal to collectors and curators alike.

Since its founding in Boston in 1976, the Gallery has focused on the exhibition, purchase, and sale of Impressionist, Modern and Contemporary masterworks. Our inventory includes paintings, drawings, prints, and sculptures by Paul Cezanne, John Chamberlain, Dan Flavin, Candida Hofer, Jasper Johns, Wolf Kahn, Ellsworth Kelly, Roy Lichtenstein, Claude Monet, George Rickey, Frank Stella, Antoni Tapies, Peter Voulkos, and many internationally renowned artists. Among Baltimore’s established and emerging artists represented by the gallery are David Brown, Bill Crowley and Trace Miller.

Shortly after the Gallery’s inception, Thomas Segal purchased part of the collection of Josep Lluis Sert from Harvard University. The collection sold internationally by the Gallery consisted largely of works by Alexander Calder and Joan Miro.
From the world’s premier international art show for Modern and contemporary work at Art Basel to Tokyo, the Gallery participates in art events internationally and nationally. Over the years, we have represented artists at art events across the country from the Armory Show in New York City to Los Angeles, from Chicago to Dallas.

The Gallery has published numerous exhibition catalogues, such as those for Cy Twombly and Jasper Johns, and the Wolf Kahn monograph, in conjunction with an exhibition calendar primarily of one-man shows of renowned artists including Helen Frankenthaler, Robert Rauschenberg, and George Segal.

Today in its fourth decade, the Thomas Segal Gallery has gallery space in Baltimore and will soon embark on virtual exhibitions, too. We continue to work with collectors, both beginning and experienced. Whether you are new to collecting, or need a guiding hand to focus an existing collection, the Thomas Segal Gallery offers the knowledge and experience to help you to realize your goals.
